An international project on generative compression research for Lidar has begun
In October of this year, the international scientific project "Exploratory Research on Generative Compression for Compressive Lidar" was launched. Eight staff members of our department, including three postgraduate students, along with scientists from the University of Delaware (USA) and the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin (Poland), are participating in the project's implementation.
The project is aimed at developing innovative generative compression methods for Lidar systems, opening up new perspectives in the field of computer vision and autonomous technologies.
In mid-October, the department team participated in the first meeting of the project executors, which took place in Szczecin. This meeting allowed for the identification of key tasks and established the main vectors of cooperation between participants from different countries.
