Matched Filtering of Multi-Frequency Signals Using Test Statistics Involving Third-Order Cumulants

The paper was authored by Professor Oleksandr Totskyi and Associate Professor Viktoriia Naumenko from the National Aerospace University "KhAI", in collaboration with researchers from Spain and Mexico.

The study presents a novel approach to detecting multi-frequency signals using matched filtering and test statistics based on third-order cumulants. The proposed method demonstrates improved detection performance under additive noise and Doppler fluctuations compared with conventional signal detection techniques.

The developed approach has potential applications in radar systems, surveillance technologies, telecommunications, and other areas of modern digital signal processing.

Publication in IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, one of the leading international journals in the field, highlights the high quality of research conducted at the Department and reflects its active international scientific collaboration.
